What is a Fire Risk Assessment?

A fire risk assessment is a review undertaken of a building to assess its fire risk and offer recommendations to make the building safer if required. An assessor would visit the building and complete a comprehensive assessment before completing any required paperwork depending on the results.

What other information should a business know about a Fire Risk Assessments?

Your Fire Risk Assessment must be reviewed regularly. Our team recommend every 12 months., unless there have been significant changes to the building layout then we would recommend a new assessment should be conducted. We would also recommend completed a new assessment if there has been a significant increase in staff or users of the building.

There are so many situations and various stipulations regarding what is required from your building this can include things like whether the building has more or less than 5 regular occupants. Our team are on hand to answer any questions you may have.

The assessor will attend your premises and carry out the comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment at the time and date agreed, the report and findings will be taken back to the office where your assessment document will be completed.

We would then return to your premises to talk you through your paperwork if requested or the document will be sent to you.
